Ragda Patties

Ingrediants:
For Ragda:
1 cup dehydrated white peas.
2 Tomatoes.
1/4 Tsp Cumin seed.
1/4 Tsp Muster seed.
1/4 Tsp Turmeric powder.
1/2 Tsp Red chilli powder.
1/2 Tsp Garam masala.
1 Tsp Chole masala.
Salt as per taste.

For Patties:
4 potatoes boiled, peeled, mashed.
2 cup Bread slice crumb.
4 Green chilli chopped.
1 Tsp Ginger paste.
1/4 Tsp Turmeric powder
1 Tsp Oil.
2 Tsp Lemon juice.
1/2 Tsp Cumin powder.
1/2 Tsp Chaat masala.
Salt as per taste.
Coriander leaves.

How to make Ragda Pattis:
Ragda:

1. Wash and soak White peas overnight in water.
2. Boil channa with baking soda in pressure cooker for 10 minitue or take 10 whistle.
3. Heat oil in a pan, add Muster seed, Cumin seed & Ginger paste.
4. Then turmeric powder, Red chilli powder and tomatoes.
5. Then add Garam masala & Chole masala.
6. Add little bit water so that masala won't burn.
7. Now, add the boiled peas and water if needed and mix well.
8. Cover and cook on medium heat for 5-10 minutes.

Patties:
1. Boil, peel and mash the potatoes.
2. Add all ingredients of Patties into mashed potatoes.
3. Mix and knead well into a dough.

4. Divide the dough into balls.
5. Press each ball with hand so that it would make into a round patty.
6. Heat oil in a pan and shallow fry the prepared patties in the oil till golden brown on both sides.
7. Take out the patties from the oil and put them into a bowl with tissue paper to drain the excess oil.

To serve Ragada Patties:

Prepare tamarind chutney.
Prepare Coriander chutney.
Cut onion into small pieces.Take the serving plate, put two Patties in the plate. Pour the Ragda on the Patties .
Add Tamarind & Coriander chutney.Sprinkle chopped onions, a pinch of chat masala powder, Sev and serve hot.


Tip:
It is very easy to prepare homemade bread crumbs. You just need bread slices. Then keep these slices in oven for 5 min at temperature 400C. Then Remove slices from oven and in blender bled it. Again keep that bread crumb in oven for 5 min at temperature 400C.
Keep this bread crumb in zip lock bag in frozen and use it whenever necessary.
